The high number of expellees who had come to Roßtal from former East German countries and settled in the villages around Roßtal required another Catholic church. Besides, the camp for refugees had already been closed and with it the shack that had been used as a church.
Consequently, the daughter church was built in Clarsbach under extreme physical efforts and readiness to make sacrifices of all the Catholic families.
It was christened on 20th December 1959 and consecrated to Queen Mary.
In 1995/96 the old tower was replaced and a third bell donated by the parish priest Josef Zottmann.
Inside, the small church has very little decor and concentrates on the altar. The wooden construction of the roof gives the visitors a comfortable feeling. The centre of the altar is the big cross and on its side a baroque - looking Madonna with child.
According to the ecumenical efforts this Catholic church is also used for Protestant church services.
